Cheese Surprise

Hello, friends,

I want to share with you a very simple, easy and at the same time very original recipe that will not leave anyone indifferent.

So, we will cook pastries from puff pastry with cheese.


I want to draw your attention right away that in this recipe I used purchased puff pastry, but you can decide to make this dough yourself (if you prefer).


So, for the ingredients:

Puff pastry - 1kg.

Pesto sauce - 100g.

Olive oil - 2-3 tbsp.

Camembert cheese - 250-300g

Sesame seeds

Egg - 1 pc.


Recipe:

Let's take a sheet of parchment paper and use it with olive oil, you can of course use ghee and any other vegetable oil to your taste, but I like to use olive oil.

Cut the dough to the size of the parchment paper and the size of the baking sheet you will be using for baking. The dough can be rolled out a little, then using a round shape, cut off excess pieces from the dough, forming a round shape of the sheet (dough), put cheese (Camembert) in the middle of the dough, apply pesto sauce to the rest of the dough, leave the edges dry, so that the dough sticks better.

Pesto sauce:

A bunch of cilantro, a bunch of basil, a couple of cloves of garlic and 100 ml of olive oil, grind everything in a blender and the sauce is ready, and yes, salt / pepper to taste.

Put the resulting one aside and prepare another sheet of dough, also round.

We cover the previous sheet with cheese and pesto sauce with this sheet, highlighting first of all the edges of the cheese, now it is important that no air remains between the layers of dough (if possible).!

After we have connected the pastry sheet, cut the edges of the pastry into strips 3 cm wide. using a fork, the edges of the dough are fixed.

Each strip is slightly stretched and rotated 2 times around itself.





Lubricate the whole dough with yolk, sprinkle with sesame seeds (you can also use black sesame), transfer to a baking sheet and send to the oven, heated to 190 ° C, for 20 minutes.


Serve the finished dish hot with a big smile on your face😊





Do not throw away dough scraps!


We collect the scraps, split into one sheet, grease this sheet with any filling, it can be chocolate, cinnamon with sugar, and anything you like.

We cut the sheet of dough into long triangles, turn it from the bottom of the triangle to its sharp corner (it turns out like kurasan) and send it to the oven for 25 minutes at a temperature of 190 ° C.
